I get asked by parents a lot about how to talk to students about issues ranging from sex, Jesus, drinking, pornography, and everything in between and I am humbled that they would come to me for advice. It is an honor to work with the amazing parents in TCS & V56. And while I do know a little bit about talking to students about difficult topics, there is a TON that I don’t know. I’m a young guy without any kids of my own so there is a lot of things that I have not experienced or learned for myself yet.
Thankfully however, there are many men and women who have learned how to deal with topics like these and have created fantastic resources for to aid parents in knowing their students better, talking to them about tough topics, deepening their relationships, and discipling their students.
The purpose of this blog is to aid you in connecting with many of those resources. Below you will find many links to websites, articles, and books that are very helpful.
